Welcome

The International Conference on Engineering and Technology (ICET 2012) is held in conjunction with the German University in Cairo (GUC) 10th year anniversary in the beautiful city of Cairo, Egypt. ICET is technically sponsored by the IEEE. It aims at providing a platform for researchers, engineers, academics and industrial professionals to present their recent research work and to explore future trends in various areas of engineering and technology. ICET 2012 will feature plenary speeches, industrial panel sessions, funding agency panel sessions, poster sessions, and invited/special sessions. Contributions are expected from academia, industry, and government agencies. All articles will undergo a rigorous review process. Accepted papers will be published in the conference memory stick and on the IEEE Xplore. Extended version of selected papers will be recommended for publication in special issues in refereed journals.

• January 3, 2013 | ICET 2012 Conference Proceedings is now available on IEEE Xplore.

• October 9, 2012 | An excursion will be organized for the conference participants on Friday October 12, 2012 at additional cost of 305 Egyptian pounds (40 Euros). The excursion includes visiting the Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids, Lunch and transportation (pick-up from Radisson Blue Hotel at 8:30AM). Excursion tickets will be available at the registration desk of the conference in C1.0.
• October 8, 2012 | ICET will provide shuttle bus service from Radisson Blue Hotel to the German University in Cairo (GUC) according to the following schedule:
  - Wednesday October 10, 2012 Pick up at 9:00AM from Radisson Blue Hotel to the GUC (C1.0)
  - Wednesday October 10, 2012 Returning to Radisson Blue from the GUC at 7:00PM
  - Thursday October 11, 2012 Pick up at 9:00AM from Radisson Blue Hotel to the GUC (C1.0)
  - Thursday October 11, 2012 Returning to Radisson Blue from the GUC at 6:00PM
